1. Release Date of Notification

The SSC releases the CHSL notification every year on its official website, ssc.nic.in. The notification is usually released in the month of November or December.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the CHSL exam. The age limit for the CHSL exam is 18 to 27 years, and there is age relaxation for reserved categories.

3. Application Process

The application process for the CHSL exam is online. Candidates can fill the application form on the SSC official website. Candidates need to pay the application fee online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. The application fee is Rs. 100 for general category candidates, and there is no fee for SC/ST/PWD and female candidates.

4. Exam Pattern

The CHSL exam is conducted in three stages - Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III.

  • Tier I: The Tier I exam is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of objective-type questions. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes, and the maximum marks are 200.
